Energy & Fatigue
Energy is the ability to do work. In humans, energy affects the ability to sustain physical and cognitive activity, and may also refer to the subjective experience of being able to do so. Fatigue is the opposite: a lack of energy, often as a result of exertion or disease.

Energy refers to the ability to perform physical and mental activities, and fatigue is defined as extreme tiredness resulting from exertion or illness, as characterized by diminished output during sustained effort. The concepts of energy and fatigue are interconnected with various factors such as nutrient status, metabolism, exercise, and overall health conditions.
Diet significantly affects energy levels and fatigue because nutrient-dense foods provide essential calories that are converted into ATP, which is the body's main energy source. Certain nutrients, like iron in red meat and nitrates in spinach, can specifically help support energy and combat fatigue.
To address energy and fatigue, it's important to ensure an adequate intake of essential vitamins and minerals; common supplements include stimulants like caffeine and guarana, as well as nootropics for cognitive function. Additionally, supplements that enhance endurance, fatigue resistance, and stress tolerance can also be beneficial.
