Anti-Inflammatory Diet is most often used forOther.

In this systematic review of cross-sectional studies, there was evidence that the consumption of a proinflammatory diet was associated with increased migraine frequency and severity.
What was studied?
Associations between dietary inflammatory potential and migraine headache frequency and severity.
Who was studied?
A total of 31,958 men and women (average age of 34 to 50), most of whom had migraine headaches.
How was it studied?
A systematic review of 6 cross-sectional studies was performed. Three studies were conducted in Iran, 2 studies in the United States, and 1 study in Brazil.
Migraine headache was either self-reported or diagnosed according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders guidelines. Dietary intake was assessed using food frequency questionnaires and/or 24-hour dietary recalls. Dietary inflammatory potential was quantified using the dietary inflammatory index (DII).[1] A higher DII value is suggestive of a more pro-inflammatory diet.
Five of 6 studies adjusted their analyses for confounders, although the total number of confounders and the specific ones adjusted for varied between the studies. At least 3 of the studies adjusted for age, sex, BMI, smoking, and physical activity.
What were the results?
A higher DII score was associated with an increased migraine frequency in 2 of 4 studies and more severe migraines in 2 of 3 studies.
There was no association between DII values and migraine-related disability in 2 of 2 studies. Also, one study reported that participants with migraines had a higher DII score than participants without migraines.

What was studied?
The association between adherence to different dietary patterns and the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC; the most common type of liver cancer).
Two sets of dietary patterns were studied.
A priori dietary patterns (which are based on predefined dietary guidelines or scoring systems):
- Healthy diets (according to the Healthy Eating Index (HEI) and alternative HEI)
- Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH)
- Mediterranean diet (MD)
- Proinflammatory diets (according to the Dietary Inflammatory Index)
A posteriori dietary patterns (which are discovered retrospectively through analysis of dietary intake data):
- Vegetable-based dietary patterns
